Massey’s College of Creative Arts has been ranked the top design school in the Asia-Pacific region this year, and offers a range of qualifications from Bachelor degrees all the way to PhD, with 94% of graduates finding work within 6 months.
Thinking creatively is being seen more and more as a way of solving many of the world’s woes, Prof Claire Robinson (pictured), Pro-Vice Chancellor, says. “Helping students harness their talent and imagination to work towards a better future is going to pay dividends now and well into the future, a positive difference for not just their generation, but also for the ones coming after them.”

CHAMBER MUSIC NEW ZEALAND - Music on the move
Chamber Music New Zealand brings music to the people, thanks to a dedicated team they tour international and local artists, commission new works, offer free concerts for kids and masterclasses for students, hold accessible concerts and workshops, and run the iconic national secondary schools contest, usually working three years or more in advance.
“We’re a national organisation,” CEO Peter Walls (pictured) says. “We’ve been based in Wellington from the start, so we do more here than anywhere else, and smaller centres get a selection.” Venues range from the lushness of the Michael Fowler Centre to more informal craft beer establishments. MIXT
~ Simulation Generation
Mixt is an interactive development studio specialising in 360° video and augmented and virtual reality products that educate, inspire and engage users. Mixt made NZ’s first virtual driving application for NZTA and therapeutic VR experiences for patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer.
They recently produced the worlds first 360° orchestral performance with a live audience, as well as working on some super secret R&D projects "We make stuff that makes a difference” says Co-founder Jessica Manins (pictured).

TAKI RUA PRODUCTIONS
~ Maori & Pasifika voices & stories
Taki Rua is the longest-standing Māori theatre production company in Aotearoa, starting out in that legendary venue the Depot Theatre and becoming a national touring company reaching audiences of thousands around the country.
Taki Rua produces, commissions and develops theatre with a distinctively Māori voice, Kahukura/CEO Tānemahuta Gray (pictured) says. “We like to challenge audiences, and artists, to celebrate and share stories from our nation.”
A recent achievement has been the founding of Te Haukāinga, a new hub for Māori and Pasifika theatre companies in Taranaki Street.
